Pancakes

When it comes to breakfast, pancakes are without a doubt one of my favorites! These pancakes are fluffy and delicious, yet not too sweet, which makes them perfect for topping with maple syrup, or adding chocolate chips or blueberries! I typically serve them with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs.

Pancakes

PREP TIME: 10 mins
COOK TIME: 15 mins
TOTAL TIME: 25 mins
MAKES: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

DIRECTIONS:

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Enjoy!
